Foto8 publishes 8 Magazine, which is one of the best photography publications available and also runs the equally brilliant Host Gallery in London which holds many excellent talks and events. They are launching their new issue of 8 Magazine this Tuesday (1/12/09) so if anyone is in the area then you should come along as it I'm sure it will be a great night.

Magnum Expression Award - shortlisted finalist

I was very excited to of recently been named a shortlisted finalist in the Magnum Expression Award. Unfortunately I didn't win but looking at the other finalists I was up against some excellent work so it was great to of even been named a finalist. It also meant some world class photographers who were judging got to look at my work which is very flattering!

2nd Prize - Ag Magazine's 'Brilliant Book Awards'

I'll see you on the far post... has been awarded 2nd place in Ag Magazines 'Brilliant Book Awards' run in conjunction with Blurb.com. The criteria was for a book idea but I decided to submit a printed hardback blurb book. There has been an really nice article in the current edition and also a web feature. Very special thanks to Chris Dickie, for his excellent magazine and his very kind words about my project. Chris is the editor of Ag and also the author and publisher of several very good books about photo books. I recommend them to anyone with an interest in self publishing photography books. Winner of Printspace competition!!

One of my images from I'll see you on the far post... has won the best documentary photograph in The Printspace's competition. The Printspace is an excellent scan/print house in Kingsland Road which runs a competition with different photographic themes. I submitted under Documentary photography and was named as the winner by judges Tim Clark, founder, editor, director (and thoroghly nice bloke) of 1000 Words Photography Magazine (www.1000wordsmag.com), Mark Bryan Makela, Jocelyn Bain-Hogg and Alan Hill. Thank you to all the judges and also Geri and Sophy from The Printspace. Sophy is a very gifted photographer so be sure to check out her work at www.sophymonk.com

Current Exhibition - Exit Gallery @ Claire de Rouen Books. 13.08.09

I am pleased to announce my first solo exhibition which opens on 14th August and runs until the 30th September.
The Private View is Thursday 13th August 7.00 - 9pm. All are welcome and it would be great to see as many people there as possible.
